PURPOSE:To sufficiently and rapidly extract the components of a Chinese crude drug by arranging an automatic temp. control planar heat generator having a heat-sensitive sensor built therein on the entire peripheral surface of a ceramic container and heating the whole of the container uniformly at a constant temp. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical planar heat generator 2 fitted in a bottomed cylindrical ceramic container main body 1 has such a property that the resistance thereof increases as temp. rises and the flow of a current becomes inferior and, by utilizing this property, current and temp. are controlled without using a switch. A ceramic catalyst is contained in the inside ceramic container 3 located at the inside of the planar heat generator and a ceramic filter 7 is provided at the upper end edge of the container 3 and a ceramic Chinese crude drug filter 8 is provided to the filter 7 so as to protrude from the central of the under surface thereof. The interior of the container body 1 is heated and held at a required temp. by a lid body 9 and the bottom wall 1a (double bottom wall) of the container main body and the inside container and a heat-sensitive sensor 13 is mounted on the upper part of the container main body 1. By this constitution, the automatic temp. control planar heat generator is automatically controlled in its temp. by the heat-sensitive sensor to be held at a predetermined temp. and extraction is performed to make it possible to bring an extract to a state easily absorbed by an organism by a contact catalyst utilizing fine ceramics.
