PURPOSE:To reduce information which respective systems hold and to facilitate alteration work by previously registering abstraction construction information of an application layer protocol and encoding rule information to a directory system. CONSTITUTION:A system 1 previously registers abstraction construction information and encoding rule information of the application layer protocol, which are required for mutually connecting it with a system 2, to the directory information table 21 of the directory system 3 by using a directory registration means 11 and an application layer protocol information communication means 12 gives the notice of the name of the application layer protocol, the name of an abstraction construction and the name of an encoding rule at the time of mutual connection with the system 2. At the same time, corresponding abstraction construction minute information and encoding rule minute information are obtained from the system 3 by using a directory information acquirement means 13. Furthermore, the system 1 alters abstraction construction information and encoding rule information of the application layer protocol, which are registered in the system 3 by a directory information alteration means 14.
