PURPOSE:To attain simple and clear programming by dividing unit cells, which are composed of data arranged at lattice points, into triangular pyramids and preparing an equivalent surface within the triangular pyramids. CONSTITUTION:A cube composed of 8 points is selected as the unit cell out of the three-dimensional data on lattice points P1-P8 and this unit cell is divided into the triangular pyramids composed of the data at 4 points. A triangle equivalent surface ES is prepared within the divided triangular pyramid and a rendering processing is executed to the triangle equivalent surface. Then, three- dimensional display is executed. Thus, programming can be easily executed and by increasing the dividing number of triangular pyramids, the quality of the display can be improved.
