PURPOSE:To carry out ventilation and cooling of the upper space in the inside of an engine room by providing a radiator so as to be inclined obliquely upward toward the downstream side of exhausted cooling air, and by opening the exhaust air port on the upper part of the hood wall of a hood which is positioned obliquely upward on the downstream side of exhausted cooling air viewing from the radiator. CONSTITUTION:The cooling air discharged from a cooling fan 5 is guided by a fan case 6 and is sent to the cooling air passage 18 of a cylinder 2 and a cylinder head 3 and to the side of a radiator 9. Out of this cooling air, the cooling air sent to the radiator 9 side passes through the radiator 9, and flows obliquely upward as exhausted cooling air, and then flows out into the outside through the exhaust air port 12 on the upper part 4a of a hood wall. At that time, induced by the flow of the exhausted cooling air, the air in the upper space 7a inside an engine room 7 simultaneously flows out into the outside through the exhaust air port 12, so that the upper space 7a inside the engine room 7 is forcibly ventilated and cooled. Thus, overheating of the engine is hardly caused, and since the density of the intake air becomes high, the output of the engine can be increased.
