SLAG PILE METHOD HAVING COMBINED CHARACTERISTICS OF SAND DRAIN AND OF PLAIN CONCRETE METHODS.

PURPOSE:To obtain a pile having excellent strength and water permeability and being free from a secondary alkali pollution problem, by pouring a mixture of blast furnace slag with Al2S3 (salt) or Al2(SO4)3 into soft ground to form a slag pile and sprinkling an aq. soln. of magnesium silicofluoride thereon. CONSTITUTION:Blast furnace slag (A) is mixed with 10-20wt% (based on the component A) of Al2S3 (salt) or Al2(SO4)3 soln. (B) with stirring. The mixture is poured into soft ground instead of a sand pile, thereby forming a highly porous slag pile in the ground. An aq. soln. of magnesium silicofluoride MgSiF2.6H2O is sprinkled thereon during or after the pouring.
