PURPOSE:To obtain a molding for regenerating nitriding and carburizing salt baths capable of making tablet by a dry process, increased in density, and reduced in volatilization in a molten salt bath by adding alkali carbonate to an essential component consisting of melamine cyanurate or melamine cyanurate and melamine and then carrying out pressure molding. CONSTITUTION:Alkali carbonate, such as Na2CO3, is added to melamine cyanurate as a simple substance or a mixture of melamine cyanurate and melamine. Further, the amount of melamine based on melamine cyanurate is regulated preferably to 1-7 by weight ratio. Subsequently, the resulting mixture is molded, preferably, into a tablet by the ordinary pressure molding method. The above alkali carbonate at this time is blended so that it comprises, preferably, 10-30wt.% in the tablet. Moreover, the density of this tablet is regulated to 1.3-1.6. The resulting tablet, that is, the molding for regeneration can regenerate deteriorated nitriding and carburizing salt baths with high efficiency.
