TISSUE CULTIVATION OF GENUS VINCA MAJOR PLANT

摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently produce indole alkaloid such as catharanthine useful for an antiulcer agent, etc., in a large amount by subjecting tissue of genus Vinca major plant to tissue cultivation in a specific culturing environment. CONSTITUTION:In a tissue cultivation of genus Vinca major plant using a liquid medium, concentration of dissolving oxygen in the medium is adjusted to 5-40ppm and the cultivation is performed. Besides, indole alkaloid such as catharanthine or ajimalicine is preferably obtained from said medium by extraction with an organic solvent such as methanol.
