PURPOSE:To allow heating to a high temperature in the oxidizing atmosphere by coating a heating element with a pipe made of zirconia, ceria, molybdenum disilicide or lanthanum chromite. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 1 is a round bar added with an antioxidant 3-13% mainly made of carbon or graphite, and it is of a straight type. Platinum or silver paste is impregnated or coated on a terminal section 2 to improve conductivity, the heating element 1 is heated at the center section, and the heating at the terminal section 2 is prevented. A pipe 3 made of zirconia, ceria, molybdenum disilicide or lanthanum chromite is halved, coated and stuck to the heating element 1. The heating element 1 can be heated in the oxidizing atmosphere from the ordinary temperature to a high temperature with no preheating, and the operation and furnace structure can be simplified.
