LATTICE TYPE FLOATING WAVE SUPPRESSING BANK INCORPORATING WAVE POWER GENERATION

PURPOSE:To enhance the wave suppression effect by carrying out dissipation of wave energy with the use of lattices disposed in a floating box, and absorption of wave energy by a wave power generating device incorporated in the floating box. CONSTITUTION:Two floating boxes 1, 1' for obtaining a buoyancy are connected together by means of connecting plates 2, 2', and lattices 3 are arranged on both sides W in the wave propagating direction in order to dissipate wave energy caused by vertical oscillation, longitudinal oscillation, rotary oscillation and the like. Further, vertical motion of waves is converted into mechanical rotary motion by involute type rotators 4 disposed between the boxes 1, 1' so as to absorb wave energy by wave power generating devices disposed in the floating boxes 1, 1'. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the wave suppression effect.
