PURPOSE: To realize the kinematic design of a mechanical link mechanism by storing one set of transmission rules for the member of the link mechanism, permitting the transmission rule to decide the kinetic direction of the link mechanism in response to the ground of an adjacent joint and deciding a kinetic range which the link mechanism can execute based on the transmission rule. The kinematic solution can set to be substantially high speed by using a closed form generator 22 for kinematic solution against multiple problems. Thus, qualitative analysis 13 is executed instead of catalogue selection before minute numeric analysis is executed. Consequently, the kinematic design of the mechanical link mechanism can be executed.
