OZONE DECOMPOSING CATALYST FILTER AND OZONE DECOMPOSING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the ozone decomposing catalyst filter having a high reaction rate even under high-load conditions by decomposing the mixture of a catalytically active material and a conductive heating resistor on the surfaces of pores of a foamed carrier. CONSTITUTION:The mixture of a catalytically active material such as MnO2 and WO3 and a conductive heating resistor such as graphite and carbon fibers is deposited on the surfaces of the pores of a foamed carrier 11 such as polyurethane foam and ceramic foam. A lead wire 13 is connected to an electrode 12 provided to the ozone decomposing catalyst filter, and the resistor is energized and heated. Consequently, the catalytically active material is heated, and its activity is enhanced. An ozone-contg. liq. is passed through the pores of the carrier 11 under these conditions, and ozone is efficiently decomposed.
