A supported high efficiency catalyst component for polyolefin production and methods of making and using the same are disclosed. An enhanced support made from the materials comprising a support base, an inorganic Lewis acid and an electron donor is combined with an active transition metal compound and optionally a second electron donor to form the catalyst component. Additionally, a dehydrating agent may be pre- combined with the support base in the production of the catalyst support. The methods of producing such catalyst supports and catalyst components are performed by milling in the absence of any solvent. Such catalysts produce polymer of such high quality and quantity that polymer extraction and polymer deashing are not necessary.
