摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain an oxygen-nitrogen magnesium, alminosilicate glass composition which represented by a specific formula and has a wide composition range by heating and fusing precursor substance compositions based upon magnesium silicate, silica, and aluminum nitride. ;CONSTITUTION: The oxygen-nitrogen glass composition is represented as MgxSiyAlOuNv (x=1; 2≤y≤3; 6.6≤u≤8; 0.1≤v≤0.3, and 2x+4y+3=2u+3v). This oxygen-nitrogen glass composition is obtained as mentioned below. Namely, the precursor substance compositions which are based upon magnesium and/or magnesium silicate, silica, and aluminum nitride where the aluminum nitride is the reaction product of aluminum oxide and ammonium are heated until they are melted. The obtained glass composition is thermally treated to develop a single cordierite crystalline phase, thus forming the glassy ceramic composition. This vitroceramic composition is used as a matrix to combine a reinforcing agent, thereby obtaining the composite material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
