PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of living things by constructing a plurality of various shapes of electrodes on the wall surface of an underwater structure in the vicinity of the water surface to support them with insulating supporters, and applying an alternating voltage on the electrodes to form a magnetic field on the water surface. CONSTITUTION:A structure 3 is constituted of a water-intake 1 and channel 2. A living thing sticking preventive device is so formed that a plurality of linear, bar-shaped or strip-shaped electrodes 7 are constructed to the wall surface 6 in the vicinity of the water surface 5 of the structure 3 in parallel along the water surface 5 and are supported with insulating supporters 8. In addition, both ends of an AC power supply are connected to the electrodes 7 so that the electrodes 7 provided in parallel serve as alternating poles. After that, a voltage is applied through the power supply 9 to form the magnetic field in the vicinity of the water surface 5. According to the constitution, sticking of living things in the vicinity of the water surface 5 can be prevented by a simple construction and mounting work.
