METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EXCAVATION OF COMPOUND TUNNEL FOR STATION AND TRACK BETWEEN STATIONS

PURPOSE:To shorten term of works by a method wherein an excavator for excavation of station sections including platform sections and excavators for excavation of track sections are connected and assembled into a compound excavator in a starting vertical shaft, and excavation is made first for the station section and for the track section afterward. CONSTITUTION:Excavation is made either for a station section or a track section with two track excavators 2, 2', each equipped with a pair of self-rotating, whole- sectional-area-covering cutters 3, 3', and tunnels in circular section are excavated therewith. A tunnel in dumbbell-shaped section is excavated with a station excavator 1 equipped with a plurality of small, fixed self-rotating cutters 4 and a plurality of cutters 5 that are movable for a short distance, so that the excavation can be made between the two tunnels without overlapping with the excavation made with the excavators 2, 2'. A station section A is excavated first with an excavator that is made by combining the excavators 1, 2, 2' into one unit. After this, the excavator 1 is stopped and fixed, then the excavators 2, 2' are started again independently of the excavator 1 for excavation of a track section B. Thereby term of works can be shortened with an integrally compounded excavator.
