PURPOSE:To enable highly precise drive force to be transmitted by attenuating irregularity in rotation by a method wherein a phase in one tooth pitch at an input position of a gear is equalized to the phase in one tooth pitch at an output position. CONSTITUTION:A first gear G1 and a third gear G3 are brought into mesh with a second gear G2 and a phase of one tooth pitch at an input position (i)of the second gear G2 is equalized to the phase of one tooth pitch at an output position (o) so that the angle theta made by a drive input position (i) to the second gear G2 and a drive output position (o) from the second gear G2 becomes integral times of one tooth angle (alpha) of the second gear G2. Irregularity in rotation from the first gear G1 to the second gear G2 is shifted by 180 deg. in phase to irregularity in rotation from the second gear G2 to the third gear G3, and both rotary irregularities are cancelled with each other. When drive transmission to a sheet carrying means of a recorder is performed by this construction, precision in sheet carrying is increased, and recording without any irregularity in an image becomes capable of being performed.
