METHOD FOR REGENERATING FILTER MEDIUM OF SEAWATER FILTER FOR SEA FARMING

PURPOSE:To efficiently regenerate a filter medium by replacing the seawater in a filter by fresh water and dipping a filter bed in the fresh water when spongy suspended slime not removed by repeated filter bed cleanings is deposited on the filter bed. CONSTITUTION:Filtered clean seawater is supplied to the fry breeding place of a sea farming from the seawater filter having a filter bed 4 consisting of a fine-grain filter medium. The filter bed is cleaned when a decrease in its filtration capacity is detected or earlier. Separately from the bed cleaning, the seawater is replaced by fresh water and the bed 4 is dipped in the fresh water, when the spongy suspended slime not removed by repeated bed cleanings is deposited on the bed or the harmful organisms are leaked. As a result, the filter medium is regenerated less frequently and economically at a low cost by fresh water, the filter medium is excellently regenerated, and the contamination of the bed is obviated even after filtration is carried out for a long period.
