NEW MATERIAL:DNA fragments in which the whole or a part of base sequences constituting the DNA is represented by the whole or a part of formula I. USE:A reagent of clinical analysis of human parainfluenza 2-type virus. PREPARATION:A c-DNA prepared by a m-RNA obtained from human parainfluenza 2-type virus (hereinafter abbrebiated PIV-2)-infected cells is introduced into a suitable vector for a colibacillus for cloning. Screening is carried out using a nucleocapsid RNA as a probe to isolate a clone capable of coding PIV-2 hemaglutininoylamidase gene and the objective inserted DNA is separated from the plasmid of the resultant clone.
