AUTOMATIC MEASURING INSTRUMENT OF CLOUD POINT AND POUR POINT OF PETROLEUM PRODUCT OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To eliminate measurement errors between samples and to improve the accuracy of measurement by providing a cloud point detector, temp. detector, pour point detector and controller to a measuring instrument and making possible the measurement of the cloud point and pour point with one unit. CONSTITUTION:A sample introducing line 1 is branched to a main line 2 and a bypass line 3 which are respectively provided with rising parts 2a, 3a and horizontal parts 2b, 3b as well as suspending parts 2c, 3c. A temp. regulating mechanism 4, detecting cells 5a, 5b of the cloud point detector 5 and the temp. detecting part 6a of the temp. detector 6 are attached to the rising part 2a. Detecting cells 7a, 7b of the pour point detector are attached to the part 2c and the controller 10 is provided. The sample is cooled by the mechanism 4 and when wax is deposited, the cloud point is detected from the quantity of the light detected by the cells 5a, 5b. The pour point is detected from the quantity of the light detected by the cells 7a, 7b when the flow of the sample stops.
