PURPOSE:To prevent the positional deviation of a damper rod due to vibration by a method wherein the damper rod, inserted into the slot of an armature core, is formed of a shape memory alloy. CONSTITUTION:A damper rod 2, made by a shape memory alloy, is formed so as to have the shape of a pipe having a notched groove 2a in one part thereof. The damper rod 2 is inserted into the slot 1a of a core 1 after being deformed once while the shape is restored by heating it thereafter whereby the rod 2 is in contact closely to the slot 1a of the core 1. According to this method, the damper rod may be fixed to the slot rigidly whereby the positional deviation of the damper rod due to vibration and centrifugal force may be prevented.
