CONSTITUTION:An electronic governor 5 and an injection timing control valve 7 are controlled with signals from a control unit 8. Another control unit 12 decides the fuel injection amount on the basis of the accel. position and the engine revolving speed. A fuel injection pump is controlled through the electronic governor 5. The injection timing is controlled by reference to a map of accel. position and engine revolving speed. A glow plug control unit 8 senses the coil resistance of a glow plug 4 with voltage drop before and after a sensing resistor 10 and the voltage V of power supply, and controls the glow plug temp. to its target value by means of duty control of On/Off of a switching device 11.
