METHOD FOR ELIMINATING DOUBLE IMAGE DISTURBANCE FOR TELEVISION PICTURE

PURPOSE:To eliminate double image disturbance without deteriorating picture quality by replacing picture information with vicinity picture information included in other field only as to a part where deviation of a comb-tooth picture is deviated by the movement of an object and generating a hard copy for a still picture with 2-field picture information. CONSTITUTION:When the correction processing of a picture signal stored in a frame memory 14 is implemented, an address designation is applied to the frame memory 14 from a CPU 17 and at write or readout of other picture signal, the address is designated based on that from a clock pulse generating circuit 16. A signal of T, G, B components of each picture element included in an even field and a signal level of R, G, B of upper and lower adjacent picture elements included in an odd number field are compared and when the difference of the signal levels is a predetermined reference value or over, the R, G, B components of the relevant noticed picture elements are replaced with each component of the upper adjacent picture element of the odd number field to correct the picture deviation in comb-tooth shape due to the movement of an object.
