PURPOSE:To enable positioning to be processed accurately at a desired place on the body surface of a patient by arranging a light projecting means indicating an optical maker on the extension line of, at least, on center axis out of a probe and an impulse wave generating source. CONSTITUTION:An optical maker 55 composed of optical beams in a flat face form 53 and 34 from optical projectors 51 and 52 is projected to a given position by means of the vertical movement of an applicator 100' and a tomography probe 20 so that positioning to a desired place on the body surface of a patient is processed while the indication of the optical maker 55 lying on the extension line of the center axis of the probe 20 is being observed. In this case, the center axis to which the focus of the groups 14 of the first ultrasonic oscillators is set up and the center axis of the groups 21 of the second ultrasonic oscillators are consistent with the optical maker 55. The focus of the groups 14 of the first ultrasonic oscillators, which are impulse wave generating sources, can thereby be accurately positioned to a place to be medically treated.
