PURPOSE:To collate the cloud top altitude in a receiving image by adding a cloud top altitude scale outputted by a cloud top altitude scale generating means to the receiving image and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:A time generator 1 generates time data including day data, and month data is sent out to a cloud top altitude scale generating part 2. The generating part 2 is constituted of a memory having cloud top altitude scale patterns of every month of January - December. This generating part 2 selects the cloud top altitude scale pattern of the month concerned from 12 pieces of cloud top altitude scale patterns by the inputted month data, and sends it out automatically to an image display part 3. In the display part 3, the cloud top altitude scale pattern selected and outputted by the generating part 2 is added to a receiving image and a temperature grey scale and displayed. In such a way, the cloud top altitude in the receiving image can be collated.
