REPAIR OF FLAW ON SURFACE OF OPTICAL GLASS

摘要

PURPOSE:To contrive to shorten the time of a repairing work and simplify the work by employing an ultraviolet ray-curable transparent resin having the same refractive index as that of optical glass for the repairing of flaws on the surface of the optical glass. CONSTITUTION:The surface of optical glass having flaws thereon or the surface of the optical glass having a rough surface just after processed is coated with a UV ray-curable transparent resin having the same refractive index as that of the optical glass and subsequently cured with UV rays to repair the flaw or rough surface. The method permits to adjust the refractive index over a wide range thereof and the application of the UV ray-curable resin capable of being cured at the ambient temperature within a short time allows to simply and inexpensively repair the flaws on the glass surface.
