LAYOUT SYSTEM USING AUTOMATIC OPTICAL DISK CHANGER

摘要

PURPOSE:To retrieve the stored image data of a document for plate making speedily at random by saving, storing, and restoring the image data read out of the document for plate making and other operations without using any magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:A computer 62 sends a change command for an optical disk 22 to the automatic optical disk changer 24 according to an operator's command to select an optical disk where necessary image data is stored among optical disks 22 in a rack for optical disk storage, reads the image data out of the selected optical disk 22, and sends the data to the computer 26. The sent image data is processed by the computer 26 and the processed image data is saved on a magnetic disk 28 for output temporarily and then sent to an output scanner 20. Consequently, the image data of a desired document can be retrieved speedily among a large amount of image data of documents which are stored on plural optical disks.
