FEED PIPE REPAIRING METHOD FOR CITY GAS CONDUIT

PURPOSE:To repair a feed pipe with desirable constructing performance and high efficiency without interrupting gas supply by fitting a repairing closing element at a meter cock to connect a by-pass pipe and connecting the by-pass pipe to a valve tee at one step. CONSTITUTION:A gas leak preventing jig 6 is fitted at a meter cock 5 provided in the proximity of the upstream side of a gas meter 4, and a plug 5b is substituted by a repairing plug 7 to connect a by-pass pipe 8. The outer plug 3b of the valve tee 3 of a main pipe 2 is removed, and a connecting member 11b connected to the by-pass pipe 8 is connected to a connecting member 11a provided with a cutoff valve in a rapid coupling 11. A feed pipe 1 is thus repaired while feeding city gas, and the by-pass pipe 8 is removed after restoring connection. In this way, the feed pipe 1 can be repaired with desirable constructing performance and high efficiency without interrupting gas supply.
