METHOD FOR GRANULATING FINE POWDERY COKE FOR RAW MATERIAL IN SINTERING

PURPOSE:To manufacture high strength granular coke by adding desulfurizing slag to the fine powdery coke, mixing-granulating after adjusting the water content and grading. CONSTITUTION:The desulfurizing slag 2 is added to the fine powdery coke 1 naturally produced in manufacturing process of a coke plant at 2-20% as binder. Further, the water 3 is spread to regulate the water content to 5-20%. After that, this is mixed with a mixer 4 and after granulating, the granular coke within the range of 1-8mm in the grading stage 5 is stored in yard 6. The one out of this range is again returned back to the mixer 4. By this method, reduction of the manufacturing cost of the coke can be attained.
