PURPOSE:To detect an irregularity accurately by using a sensor which is in contact with relatively arranged material bodies and for detecting the variation of spaces between the material bodies on a wire-stretch electric wire so that the sensor can travel thereon, and by continuously detecting the space between multiconductor transmission lines. CONSTITUTION:A sensor ITV4 which is in contact with conductors 21, 22, 23, 24 and for detecting the variation of spaces accurately is provided on a wire-stretch electric wire so as to be capable of traveling thereon. The sensor is self-propelled or moved by traction on the upper side conductors 21, 24 by means of running wheels 6, 6, a cable 11 unifying a signal wire and a control wire is connected with a wire-stretching tool 10 and is let out while being supported by small-sized suspended metal wheels 13, 13, and a display 12 is connected with the other end of the cable to feed back the space signal and picture signal of the tool 10 to a management post. Thus, it is possible to detect the variation of spaces between the conductors 21, 22, 23, 24 accurately.
