NEW WHITE ROT MOLD AND PRODUCTION OF LIVESTOCK FEED USING SAME ROT MOLD

PURPOSE:To effectively use a woody material and to inexpensively obtain livestock feed by preparing a new white rot mold by cell fusion of Lentinus edodes and Pleurotus-ostreatus, inoculating the white rot mold on a crushed, ground woody material, rotting the woody material, inoculating yeast on the substance and multiplying. CONSTITUTION:Lentinus edodes and Pleurotus-ostreatus are subjected to cell fusion. Consequently, a new white rot mold having 25-30 deg.C optimum temperature and optimum pH4-4.5, capable of decomposing lignin, forming neither spore nor fruit body, is prepared. Then the white rot mold is inoculated on a crushed, ground woody material (e.g. waste of agriculture and forestry) and the woody material is rotted. Then yeast is inoculated into rotted woody material and multiplied so that the woody material is made into a feed to give livestock feed.
