DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING LATERAL AND CIRCUMFERENTIAL REGISTER FOR REGISTERING CYLINDER OF SHEET-FED ROTARY PRESS

PURPOSE: To obtain equipment for adjusting registers in lateral and circumferential directions of which fine adjustment can be executed quickly, by a constitution wherein a register drum is so borne as to be rotatable eccentrically and gears connected in transmission are spur gears. CONSTITUTION: In a roller array 1 of a sheet-fed rotary printing machine, a register drum 4 is disposed between two transfer drums 2 and 3 for adjustment of registers of a sheet 5 in lateral and circumferential directions. The register drum 4 has a rotational axis 26, which is located at a position spaced from a rotational axis 27 of an outer shaft 28, and gears 77 fixedly joined also to this outer shaft 28 are fitted to the right end part of the outer shaft 28. The gears 77 engage with gears 78 of the transfer drum 2 disposed in front in the roller array 1 and are driven by the gears 78 and, by the engagement of the gears 77 and 78, a slider 97 is turned around a point A of engagement of the gears 77 and 78. According to this constitution, accurate adjustment can be executed.
