Measuring means 5 detects the rotary direction of the motor from the generation order of the pulses of the respective multiphase and reversal signals and divides the quantity of rotation per one pulse of the encoder 2 by a pulse cycle most reduced in time delay to calculate a speed. As a result, the error of speed data is reduced and speed controllability can be enhanced.
