METHOD FOR PROPHYLAXIS OF SCEPTIC COMPLICATIONS AFTER CAESARIAN SECTION

The method is applied in the obstetric practice. It hinders the proliferation of the infection and significantly reduces the post-operative inflammatory morbidity. The method is technically and easily implemented. After extirpation of the baby and the placenta, at 2.5 to 3 cm at a distance from the edge of the uterine incision, a catheter is implanted, whose perforated peripheral part is placed intrauterinely, while the remaining part is led extraperitonically via the abdomen laterally to the dermic incision. After completion of the operation, an intermittent LAWAC of the uterine cavity is carried out via a physiological serum, containing wide-spectrum antibiotics with a quantity of between 1000 to 1200 ml for 40 to 50 hours at an interval of between 3.5 to 4 hours.
