The material is made of two main components: grog and reactive bonds, bonded by organic or inorganic binder. The mass share of grog in the mass is 30 to 75 mass parts in grains from 0.2 to 2 mm. The grog contains 60 to 95 % aluminium oxide and silicon oxide as a residue. It is selected from a set containing electrocast corundum, synthetic mullite, high-aluminia grog, quartzite, silica fragments or it is formed by a mixture of these substances. The mass share of the reactive bond in the mass is 25 to 70 mass parts in grains below 0.06 mm. The bond contains 20 to 80 % silicon oxide and aluminium oxide as a residue. The reactive bond is formed by a selection from a group containing crystalline quartzite, silica fragments or mixture of these substances, always together with silicic dust and technical or mineralised aluminium oxide. In the cellular variant the mass also contains 40 to 60 mass parts of coke or graphite dust.
