Plant growth controlling active cpds. of general formula (1) are inclusion complexes contg. cyclo-dextrins of general formula (11), either in pure inclusion complex form and/or as adduct coprecipitate and/or physical mix, the wt. ratio of (1) to (11) being 1: (0.0001-10). In formula (1) n=1, 2, or 3. and X contains cyclodextrins of general formula (11). In (11) m= 6, 7 or 8 and 'R'-s independently represent hydrogen atoms or methyl gps. Provided that the active agent and cyclo-dextrin are present solely as inclusion complexes, the prepn. also contains 5wt.% max of carriers, diluents and/or adjuvants. For the prepn. of active cpds. cyclodextrins (11) are brought into contact in aq. media with plant growth controlling active cpds.
