Slow acting, stomach-intestinal-tract soluble, pharmaceutical products are prepd. from particles of 0.2-1.2 mm. diameter grain size and contg. active cpds.. These particles were crystals or were kneaded, extruded and shaped into spheres, prior to being coated by an amphiphilic polymer and several hydropholic layers, depending on the degree of retardation required. The active cpds. contain mainly salts of inorganic cations and organic anions.
