Single-strip moulding appts comprises mould having two halves (102, 103) which are relatively movable into a closed position. Means are provided for placing a leadframe into one of the halves (122-124), for carrying moulding material into the mould cavities (125-128), for exerting pressure in the cavities (133-135), for heating the mould halvess (147), for cleaning the mould halves (129-131), and for removing a moulded prod form the mould, the cleaning and removal means being in the form of a single unified cleaning-discharge unit (129).
