PURPOSE:To manufacture an amorphous solidified material excellent in strength, hardness and corrosion resistance by subjecting the molten metal of an alloy having specified thermal characteristics to super rapid cooling by two stage rapid cooling treatment and solidifying the alloy. CONSTITUTION:For example, the molten metal M of an Al-Fe-La alloy having the relationship of Tg/Tm0.55 between the glass transition temp. Tg and the m.p. Tm (both are the value expressed by the absolute temp.) is poured into a molten metal feed path 2 from a sprue 1 of a casting apparatus and is forced by a plunger 3 in the direction of a gate 4 by certain force. The cooled molten metal flows out from the dam 4, is forcibly fed to a secondary rapid solidifying zone 7 in a die 6 and is rapidly solidified to =Tg at 102 to 103K/sec cooling rate, by which the solidified alloy material excellent in strength, hardness and corrosion resistance can be manufactured by an amorphous solidified material without using a conventional foil-shaped one.
