A casing sheet is described which substantially comprises a spunbonded fabric which has been given a water-proof finish by means of a coating agent and comprises filaments of an organic fibre-forming material. The casing sheet contains a structure in the form of a weaving pattern, which has been embossed on the spunbonded fabric during its production, on at least one surface, in order to increase its slip resistance.
