The self-locking lock is intended to be employed in automatic opening and closing systems for door frames, for which the possibility and speed of closure, in all operating conditions, is an element of fundamental importance.The system concerned gives an absolute guarantee that the frame can be reclosed in a regular way if it has been possible to begin opening it. This arises from the fact that, by activating the dead bolt, (which is the first phase of the opening operation), the mechanical energy is accumulated that is needed for the subsequent closing procedures, thus releasing the system of external energy sources.The dead bolt sliding motion, which guarantees that the frame can be locked in the closed position, is linked to a precise sequence of different mechanisms for the purpose of preventing attempts to tamper with it. The appended drawings show the system diagrammatically and illustratively in order to highlight more effectively the lock operation principle; in execution the concept expressed above may be implemented in a different way.
