The main patent relates to a device for automatically regulating the voltage of the cable 5 in remote-control mechanisms, especially applicable to mechanisms for governing motor-vehicle clutches, which comprises a rectilinear rod 1, traversed axially by the cable 5, provided with two opposite and parallel longitudinal planes 6-6' and surrounded by a support 7 in which two rollers 10-10' are mounted, these rollers sliding over said planes, wedging against fixed sloping paths 23-23' or moving away therefrom, and fixing or releasing the length of the sheath, as the support 7 is abandoned to the action of a spring 26 or is pushed by a stop fixed to the cable. The present addition consists basically in that this stop 30 is fixed on the cable with a high degree of friction, which allows it to slide over it, when assembly takes place.
