MUCOSAL ALLERGO-TEST AND RELEVANT DEVICE FORTHE DETERMINATION OF SPECIFIC AND TOTAL IgEABSTRACTAn allergological test for detecting an allergic condition,said test consisting in contacting the mucous membrane direct withthe allergen or the anti-IgE antibody linked to a solid phase, sothat a rapid in situ incubation is obtained of the allergen or ofthe anti-IgE antibody with the mucous membrane antibodies, and inthe successive in vitro determination of the specific or total IgEthrough radioimmunological or immunoenzymatic procedures. Saidtesting procedure is carried out by employing a plastic materialapplication device comprising one or more receptacles or housingin which some supports are inserted, such supports bearing allergensor anti-IgE antibodies linked to the supports themselves. Saidtesting procedure can also be employed for performing a particulartest of specific challenging.
