A high-octane gasoline is produced by the conversion of a light hydrocarbon containing C2-C7 parafins and/or C2-C7 olefins using a crystalline aluminogallosilicate containing about 0.2-2.5 % by weight of aluminum and about 0.1-5 % by weight of gallium in the skeleton thereof and having a particle size in the range of about 0.05-20 mu m, with at least 80 % by weight of the crystalline aluminogallosilicate having a particle size of 0.1-10 mu m.
