DECORATIVE SHEETS COMPRISING METALLIZED OR IRIDESCENT PLASTIC FLAKES

A sheet for a laminated material having a metallized or iridescent decoration and comprising metal, metallized or iridescent particles which are sensitive to aqueous or non-aqueous solvents, resistant to temperatures above 100 °C, and light-fast. The metallized particles are obtained for example by cutting a plastic film metallized with aluminium and covered with a protective layer. The laminated material may comprise a protective overlay sheet. Uses include panel manufacturing, particularly for household furniture.
