PRODUCTION OF SECONDARY METABOLITES FROM MICRO ORGANISMS

increasing the production of a process such as an antibiotic, a secondary metabolite with the periodic addition during fermentation in the culture medium.during the idiophase of fermentation, the nutrients that are essential for the production of the secondary metabolite is desired.it is shown that the periodic addition of nutrients during the idiophase tylosin fermentation produces acid over a period of time greater than that ofnaked with a conventional or an intermittent fermentation fermentation, in which the nutrients are fed continuously during the idiophase.
