A process for the continuous production of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic webs by joint pressing of unidirectional filaments of glass, carbon, aramide, ceramic or metal or textile fibers or mixtures thereof, unidirectional filaments of a thermoplastic, a melt or a film of the thermoplastic and additional reinforcing fibers. The webs produced by the process can be compressed by hot pressing to form moldings.
