In a device for providing empty bobbin cores at the spinning stations of a ring spinning machine and for transporting spinning bobbins from the spinning stations, there is an endless on-edge band which rotates round the region of the spinning stations of the ring spinning machine and which is equipped with drivers for plates carrying the spinning bobbins or bobbin cores. Furthermore, in the region of at least one end of the ring spinning machine there is a storage device which can be connected to the transport device of the ring spinning machine by means of feed or removal devices.
