PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING PELLETIZED MATERIALS FOR USE IN CHEMICAL REACTIONS IN INDUSTRY OR AGRICULTURE

In the process described, powdered alkali compounds are pelletized with hydroxides of substances having solubility products differing considerably. In a first phase, a small amount of pelletizing water is added to form seeds having a particle size between 0.05 and 0.15 mm, that combine to form pellets when adding an amount additional water pelletizing. The amount of water pelletizing added to the material in this first phase should be sufficient for hydration but should not be significantly higher. After the beginning of the formation of germs, it does not add more water until the starting material is completely hydrated and it was only after which is added the amount of water necessary to pelleting continuing the formation of germs. The production of pellets for removing nitrogenous impurities, together with phosphorous impurities and possibly heavy metals, the active substances used are hydrogen phosphates or phosphates of a cation of the second main and auxiliary groups of the Periodic Table.
