The invention relates to novel métallomésotétraphényle porphyrins. These metalloporphyrins are such that all the carbons of each of the phenyl rings are substituted at positions 2, 4, 6 by a hydrocarbon radical and in position 3, 5 by a sulphonate functional group. These metalloporphyrins can be used as oxidation catalysts for hydrocarbons.
