The invention relates to a method for preparing an emulsifier on the basis of fatty acid polymer, comprising of:i) saponifying polymerized oil containing fatty acid polymer;ii) separating a fatty acid fraction from the saponified oil; andiii) separating the fatty acid polymer, to an emulsifier and an emulsion containing said fatty acid polymer and/or fatty acid oxypolymer, and to a method for preparing form-retaining products from wood chippings using as anti-swelling agent said polymeric triglycerides.
